Think you know a person from their online persona better than they know themselves? Do you think they answered the questions accurately when they took their online MBTI test? If not then what do you think their true type is?

I'll start. John Clay claims to be an INTP, but his posts suggest ISTP.

.....John Clay claims to be an INTP, but his posts suggest ISTP.
I'll look at a few ways in which I'm not an ISTP....

http://www.16personalities.com/istp-personality

....ISTPs find no greater joy than in getting their hands dirty pulling things apart and putting them back together....
I don't enjoy that for the sake of it - only if it solves a problem and even then I think it is more of a feeling of relief than pleasure. If I'm trying to solve a problem I'd try to isolate the problem and fix it. BTW I bought a game called "World of Guns: Gun Disassembly"
http://store.steampowered.com/app/262410/
I only like using the guns (e.g. fire/unload/reload/accessories) and seeing how they work (x-ray/cut-away and slow motion, etc). Though the main "game" is disassembling and assembling the guns I find that incredibly tedious so I avoid that part.

.....Nothing Is as Boring as Everyone Agreeing With You....
I find repetition to be boring. Including someone repetitively disagreeing. I'm not sure what the most boring possible thing is.

.....Fictional ISTPs: ....Angus MacGyver from MacGyver....
I've never been told I'm like MacGyver....

http://www.16personalities.com/istp-strengths-and-weaknesses

....Dislike Commitment – Long-term commitments are particularly onerous for ISTPs. They prefer to take things day-by-day, and the feeling of being locked into something for a long time is downright oppressive. This can be a particular challenge in ISTPs' romantic relationships....
I disagree I find commitment good because it involves security

http://www.16personalities.com/istp-careers

.....Abstract theory and purely academic work that will never see the light of real use hold little interest for ISTPs.....
I feel differently

BTW I agree with the asterisks that they are important elements in a relationship (so I think I am a INTP)

If you mean I'm monotone, yeah, though I try to avoid it. I only started adding some variance when I did some radio, it used to be a lot worse.

Utisz is an INFP.

I test INFP these days and I think I'm more and more INFP on here, but the INTP profile still fits me better I think. But I dunno.

If I read the INFP profile, it all sort of fits except something like this:

INFPs do not like to deal with hard facts and logic. Their focus on their feelings and the Human Condition makes it difficult for them to deal with impersonal judgment. They don't understand or believe in the validity of impersonal judgment, which makes them naturally rather ineffective at using it.

That's not really true for me. Hard facts and logic have their place.

On the other hand, from the INTP profiles ...

The INTP has no understanding or value for decisions made on the basis of personal subjectivity or feelings. They strive constantly to achieve logical conclusions to problems, and don't understand the importance or relevance of applying subjective emotional considerations to decisions. For this reason, INTPs are usually not in-tune with how people are feeling, and are not naturally well-equiped to meet the emotional needs of others.

That doesn't fit either.

I guess I don't really need to be one or the other ... but I'm not sure if I should justify that from a logic standpoint (16 types for people is bullshit, what about border cases, where's the supporting data, etc.) or an emotional one (fuck mbti, I am a unique snowflake lost on a summer breeze).

I sometimes think that gator is more comfortable with E than most, while still leaning towards I as her preference. She can be quite engaged with networking in her career - something that would make me consider suicide as a viable option if I had to do that every day. She also seeks out living arrangements with like-minded people, preferring a sense of community, while still having her own space. Again, suicide would be on the table for me if I had to share my living space with others.

What a horrible dating catch-22 to a part of. Either say nothing and have your date figure you to be w/out interests or sense of opinion or self, or start talking and slowly lull her to sleep.

In Spanish, it's divine! Not that her voice in English is bad, I just expected it to be flavored with a little more Cruella De Vil.
