    your bookshelf

    show us what u read

    Spoiler: um

top tier books, some of my favourites.

half occult/alien/murder/serial killer books, half philosophy. which reminds me, i've lent a small book of aphorisms by blaise pascal which i miss terribly, i wanna reread that so badly. also lent someone house of leaves which i don't care much for even though i enjoyed the book.

yes, that is a library copy of american psycho. yes I feel guilty.

Not pictured: bottom shelf of black bookshelf. it's just some harry potter, agatha christie, as well as some of my most hated books.

these books are important, stuff i want to read and reread. reading right now: freakonomics

Alas for my e-peen, I sold many of my books last year because I could get the philosophy ones and others online or in a library and its too much for me to carry around. But we've still got some...

The woman's and mine are mixed in together :P

I don't have a bookshelf. Just massive piles of about 2000+ books lying around here and there.

I didn't bring many books from home, and I haven't allowed myself to buy very many. I should probably take the library books back soon.

    Spoiler: messy shelves

Hmm ... I miss my books. I threw a house party and gave them all away before I left Ireland.

It felt good to do that at the time but now I do miss them.

All I have now are two books.

But I guess I buy new books.

A fresh collection maybe even with Spanish language ones.

And then I'll get a shelf too and post a nice picture of them in this thread for y'all to browse.

    Are you punishing yourself?

Ignore the mess. It's always like that.

Frequent moving is the worst thing for maintaining a quality book collection. I have all of my childhood books and three boxes of college-year books stored at my parents' home, and they'll probably expect me to take them in the near future. I try to supplement my collection with digital material and the library, but it's so satisfying to have your own copies to refer to.

I'm not interested in books and seldom read them and don't collect them either.

These books are dictionaries and telephone book.
