    Invitation to INTPc's females: strength train with us!

    I'm not actually suggesting personal training sessions or anything, just to participate in the group fitness thread.

    Moreover, I'm promoting that more women lift weights, because it's a healthy thing for every single person in the world to do.

    Lastly, I'm promoting strength training because women are woefully under-represented there, and again, it's incredibly good for you.

    Yes, I smell like a horse. No, I don't consider that a problem.

    I wholeheartedly agree. Strength training is excellent for women and there is nothing to fear. I do it about twice a week when good and intend on more. Super effective - I can't recommend it enough.

    So is cardio/aerobic. Not sure why that thread is called "group fitness" when really it is "group strength training".

    I used to talk about my runs in the one back at the old forum, and I think a few people have posted about cardio workouts in the new one. It just happens to mostly get posted in by @stuck and @notdavidlynch and they're all about the lifting.

    where are the guy swimmers tho?

    i wanna strengthen my legs so i can tread water more easily & for longer periods of time. probably going swimming this weekend.

    my bf wants me to do squats lol :/ without weights

    I wouldn't exactly say I'm a swimmer but it's my primary form of exercise since becoming a cripple.
