    Frame and Line Test

It's meant to test for how much you use context to inform yourself. It has two sections. The first (information within context) shows you a square with a line of a certain size down its center and on the next page you are asked to recreate the line proportional to a new box, whatever its size. In the second half (information without context), it asks you to recreate the length of the line regardless of the size of the new box.

I was very good at the first half, and pretty shitty at the second.

Cool test! Reminded me of the Eyeballing Game.

I wonder what the results are supposed to indicate with cultural background. Does it mean that the higher you score on the first test/the lower you score on the second, the stronger your cultural affiliations are? The Japan/US samples could indicate such a thing.

    cool

at first it wouldn't let me move on to the second part because it said my score on the sample square was impossibly low :/ My low level of attention to details does cause problems and anxiety on a regular basis.

I believe it is rooted in study(ies?) like this.

I was 72, 51. I rely heavily on background cues and measurement.

Or I am just blind as a bat and have an awful time recopying sizes. I'm an artist, too. An artist who is good at maths and cannot see. lol

Guess an INTP overload could skew the expected results then. Hee hee!

Wow I can't believe I scored 100 on the first task. And wtf why did I do so poorly on the second

I do prefer looking at the bigger picture rather than details though
