Question Pew Research: U.S. Religious Knowledge ~15 questions

    http://www.pewforum.org/quiz/u-s-religious-knowledge/

I got 15 of 15 (Albeit the last one was a lucky guess) and apparently the national average is 8 of 15.

Post-test, there is an interesting demographic breakdown of the official poll results.

Got 'em all except the last one. I mis-clicked number 14, but I'm claiming it anyway.

    Whee.

I have almost no interest in religion.

I got 14/15 (also a lucky guess on that last one).

What was most interesting about the demographic breakdown was that Atheists/Agnostics know more about religion than every religious group listed except Jews, and even then, they were only barely edged out.

This doesn't surprise me. If you have a religion you would have less reason to learn about others. I got 14 too, had to guess the ones about US law (also number 15).

I wonder why they differentiated between white and black Protestants and white and Hispanic Catholics?
Yes, I smell like a horse. No, I don't consider that a problem.

Same score. I didn't know what the Supreme court rulings were, but given the gist of the debates about it the answers seemed kind of obvious. The one I got wrong embarrassingly enough was the Sabbath question - confusing what day it starts with what day it is. I've probably lost more marks in my education to not reading a question properly than any other reason.

    14/15

The closest correlation with success was formal education, which doesn't surprise me - most of this is esoteric knowledge which has no application.

    12/15. I expected a worse score.

(Osito Polar's thread helped me figure out one question.)
