    The People's Poet is dead

    Rik is dead

I remember watching The Young Ones as a evolving-to-mohawked punk back in the 80s. MTV, while still mostly pop music, would still sometimes put on shows like this and 120 Minutes. It was funny and unique - although the movie Suburbia probably documented some elements of the whole time and movement better, The Young Ones will remain a classic. Rik also starred in Drop Dead Fred as the titular character.

Damn, I need to watch those. I only knew Rik Mayall as Lord Flashheart in Blackadder. Woof!
