    June 2014 goals

It was sad to see this thread idea die, so here's June.

    What are your goals?

    - not dying
    - maybe i'd like to gather enough research to make an informed purchase of a film camera & possibly some equipment, so saving up money goes with this

everything else seems like overreaching at this point. i'd like to do something "fun" every weekend to retain my sanity but making that a goal makes that work, too.

    • Keep running, sustaining my 10 mile range and speed so that by July I can increase that distance.
    • Continuously improve my palette for craft beers and dry red wines (as an ongoing thing over the summer).
    • Improve my average Rubik's Cube solving time by at something like 5 seconds.
    • Enjoy every summer festival I can practically attend.
    • Succumb to neither revenge nor depression.

You're right. This is just the kind of thread I need around right now. Thanks for starting it.

Get rid of, or have a plan for most of my things.
Reconcile with Starbuck in some fashion.
    Book plane ticket.
Fix my website because I'm tired of it being broken.

I probably need actually build my own at some point. I have to go back for a trial day for a job I've been conditionally accepted for because I have no publically available web development work. (I am a system developer for the most part so whatever front-end work I've done has been connected to backends I've worked on and usually behind a corporate portal as a browser based application.) This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it would be nice to point someone at a site I already have up during the interview, especially if, as is now seeming possible, I go down the web development route more. Would be good Javascript practice too - see if I can fit some clever use of closures in somewhere. So that's my goal till the end of July.

-Take some real relaxation time during the week, or at the very least in San Francisco later this month
    -Submit paper
-Get application materials together for job #2 and figure out where all I'm submitting them
-Regroup on the exercise, organizational stuff, and budget stuff that was progressing until last month
-Incorporate cello practice into the regrouping mentioned above
