I was thinking supercomputers? Short for crayfish? Crazy?

Urban Dictionary to the (not quite) rescue:

No one knows what it means, but it's provocative. It gets people going.
    That shit Cray
If it's just sort for crazy, that's kind of dumb, but if it springs from a nerdy reference to super computing I can't completely hate it.

I thought it was supposed to be said twice like so:

"Georgy Boy is sooooooo craycray fa sho!"
Stand clear of the closing doors, please.

If you search for the double word, you'll find more.

Well, I heard it once as cray cray this week, and once as cray. Upon looking up "cray cray" I read that it is no longer cool to say it twice. Apparently, it started in a song of some sort as "cray cray". Here's the source.

“Cray cray” is a term coined by YouTube sensation Andrew Gunadie (widely known as gunnarolla). The phrase debuted in a gunnarolla video titled CRAY CRAY (gunnarollaw #26) on January 7, 2011. The term is a variant of the word “crazy”; in its pronunciation, “cray cray” can be described as crazy in itself.
“Cray cray” has been adopted by many prominent media professionals, such as news anchors, comedians, and other famous YouTube users.
The term was declared “dead” on August 26, 2011 in a gunnarolla and songstowearpantsto (Andrew Huang) collaboration video titled CRAY CRAY IS DEAD (3/22); it was succeeded by the much simpler “cray”.

    Pic.

Picture is not a long word. It is not necessary to shorten it to something vapid-sounding. Now, if someone refers to a movie as a "picture", that is awesome.

    Side note:

Bodacious and radical should never have left the lexicon of slang. I was disappointed when I got to be a teenager, because, I had assumed that, upon becoming a teenager, I would be able to use those words. Apparently, the early 90's did not last forever. I fully intend to bring these words back.

I remember it from GUTS. There was an event called "Totally Tubular" which involved inner tubes. Beyond that, I don't think I ever heard someone use the word.

Don't forget heinous, bogus, and gnarly.
Most of time, when people ask why something terrible happened, they don't realize they are looking for someone to blame.

Stop being word nazis. If you can use a word well, then you deserve to use it. Language is not about which word you should or should not be condoned to say
