Edinburgh syline, hogmany festival in full swing. HDR tonemapped, sepia toned and "aged" by 70 years in a time machine filter. Filtering like a lil' bitch!
Sir Walter Scott was huge in Scotland, they loved him. I think he may have been bigger than Jesus. Look at his monument, it's `uge and very classy. If not a little 'evil wizard-y'
Edinburgh is the city of Harry Potter, a lot of the nuances were put into the books by the author. The "binary" mode drivers on the 16 route who must be touching one pedal or the other are quite the experience! I'm convinced they try to make people fall over before they can get to their seat as a sport/entertainment haha. I would too.

Here, the Falkirk wheel in-front of a sky that appears to be mocking it during stormy weather AKA Scottish weather.

The wheel is very cool, a boat lift that has two caissons that hold 66,000 gallons of water each, lifting them around a hundred feet up to the inland canals from just above the firth at sea level.
We did not feel an urge to ride a boat up in it.

Tell you what, this one probably works better in forum format as well, with the hi res scroll action.
Birmingham is looking futuristic again with its chrome eyball Grand central station.

I've now been a member of flickr for ten years.
The results here are a bit skewed because flickr tends to behave like a living thing, like the stock market and sometimes something gains momentum based on timing alone. Other times the results are skewed because the viewer seems to clumsily resize images and you can actually download a larger picture, but you can only see a smaller, lower quality one when clicking twice.

Anyway, this is my most popular pictures in ten years ranked in order. The top three are there because they made it to Flickr's 'explore' section. Funny thing is, I think at least one of them is a cell phone pic.
I have just 90 "followers" on there and barely any of those in the last few years. I think flickr is dying on the vine.

    Top 16 on flickr

In Birmingham, taken by Mxx. I think she might be better than me at this!

I really like the overlooking city pictures.
But your individuality and your present need will be swept away by change,
and what you now ardently desire will one day become the object of abhorrence.
