This might apply mostly to men. I dunno. The opening anecdote is definitely going to lean in a masculine direction, but I'm curious to see what develops.
Yesterday, I was walking around a Target (pronounced "Tar-ZHAY" if you feel fancy), and a woman was walking across the aisle I was moseying in some 40 feet or so ahead of me. I happened to note her head in profile, or mostly profile. She was looking slightly away from me. What caught my attention was that she seemed to be sticking her tongue out, and it was pretty big, but then she turned her head slightly and I realized she was actually sticking out her lower lip. I found this a bit surprising. Especially when her lip returned to a relaxed position. I don't often see a lip jutting from someone's face like a cantileverd shelf you could stack knick-knacks on.
I don't intend for this to sound mean. It's not intended to be. I'm just trying to place things in perspective.
As her head turned, she caught me looking at her, and gave something just short of a 'come hither' look. It was more of a, "Yeah, I see you watching. You can look, I don't mind".
It was at that moment that I noted she was also packing in the fore and aft in a BBW sense. With a waist. Proportions beyond my taste but I can definitely see she wouldn't have trouble finding company.
The point of this was, she totally had the wrong idea about why I was looking at her, and I suppressed the urge to be an asshole and correct her mistaken impression.
When have you been caught doing something you weren't actually doing?
