    Seattle

The title of the last thread no longer makes sense and my deliberations are over.

So, what great things are there to do in Seattle?

Who lives in the area? Who has ever lived in the area? Where did you live? What did you do?

An article I was reading last night includes Seattle amongst established "legacy" cities such as NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and DC. Is this true? I realize that it's vertically developed and has adequate public transportation, but has innovation and development slowed? Is the PNW still burning off the fumes of Kurt Cobain, Starbucks and Bill Gates mugshot photo?

What do you think of the proven revenue models of Microsoft, Amazon, Nintendo of America, Valve, etc vs. the speculative nonsense of social media and app startups that you find in the growth spurt of Silicon Valley? Do these things pervade the tech culture of both areas or will you find a solid mix of both in each?

Exactly how annoying are the Seahawks and Sounders fandoms? This is important. I have no problem with either, but the Falcons did knock out the Seahawks 2 years ago.

Where is the best Mediterranean food? The best Ethiopian food? The best Korean food? The best sushi? Is there such thing as good Mexican food outside of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas?

Where should I try to get quick work? Volunteer? Just filled out an app for a volunteer tutoring place.

Seahawks' and Mariners' fandoms are very annoying. The Sounders are pretty ignorable.
I'm suspicious of people who say they'll die for a flag but won't wear a mask for their neighbor.

    Farmers market!

Also Richard Sherman is arrogant, but the Seahawks are good. Loudest American football stadium.

There used to be an awesome taco truck in Wallingford next to Dick's, forget what it was called. Their mole was the shit but they were out of it 75% of the time I went there. Then they bought a former KFC on Capitol Hill, which I thought was weird. Never went to that location.

I loved Seattle when I was there. I still want to go north past SF, maybe even to live, but it's really far, and I don't have work there yet.

Now or never. That's how I got here, and I'm glad I did.

I don't know what else to say

Well I guess I did give up my whole life back east, and it costs a lot of money to go back home and see my mah and pops.

    Sounders fans are awesome.

Amazon is evil. Never work for Nintendo.

If I move back to Seattle I'm getting a scooter.

Best Ethiopian food is probably in the Central District.
