The title of the last thread no longer makes sense and my deliberations are over.
So, what great things are there to do in Seattle?
Who lives in the area? Who has ever lived in the area? Where did you live? What did you do?
An article I was reading last night includes Seattle amongst established "legacy" cities such as NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and DC. Is this true? I realize that it's vertically developed and has adequate public transportation, but has innovation and development slowed? Is the PNW still burning off the fumes of Kurt Cobain, Starbucks and Bill Gates mugshot photo?
What do you think of the proven revenue models of Microsoft, Amazon, Nintendo of America, Valve, etc vs. the speculative nonsense of social media and app startups that you find in the growth spurt of Silicon Valley? Do these things pervade the tech culture of both areas or will you find a solid mix of both in each?
Exactly how annoying are the Seahawks and Sounders fandoms? This is important. I have no problem with either, but the Falcons did knock out the Seahawks 2 years ago.
Where is the best Mediterranean food? The best Ethiopian food? The best Korean food? The best sushi? Is there such thing as good Mexican food outside of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas?
Where should I try to get quick work? Volunteer? Just filled out an app for a volunteer tutoring place.
