Did you tell them he's the guy Chris Isaak is trying to cash in on resembling?

I explained that Scooby Doo is a great dane to someone today. On the plus side, I was backing up the assertion of someone who is barely old enough to drink. It gives me hope for the future that Scooby remains relevant, and the literal dickhead He-Man has failed the test of time.

Sidebar: my parents forbade me from watching He-Man for religulous reasons, but I was allowed to watch most Scooby-Doo shows because they ended with a rational explanation. I think we need a new show like Scooby that ups that ante a bit. Still silly and fun, but with a bit more rigorous logic in the solution.

It would be really cool if it had a meta-arc of learning rational thought and making callbacks to previous episodes where similar events happened and determining if the same thing was at work without relying on it being the same villain.
People think they understand their own mortality, even when that understanding has just changed.

I am pretty shocked by how insane some of the stuff I encounter online actually is. I'm disappointed in all people. Arming teachers was a serious discussion, ffs. People I respect aren't as alarmed by Trump as I assumed they would be. People are acting like rapid dogs. It's unsettling.

American Culture is anti-intellectual and violent. It was not like this when I was a kid.

Been there, done that. I know a few things. Anyway, I give advice a lot now.

I searched for this thread to post about this. I already take my glasses off to read and write but detail work is getting fuzzy and I can't read small print without concerted effort. I already have three pairs of glasses that I am constantly searching for. At least readers are dirt cheap. I'm not even forty!

Glimpses do ye seem to see of that mortally intolerable truth; that all deep, earnest thinking is but the intrepid effort of the soul to keep the open independence of her sea; while the wildest winds of heaven and earth conspire to cast her on the treacherous, slavish shore?

Generation Z starting to enter the workforce through internships or junior positions making Millennials feel old. I guess that makes me and my memories of fax machines ancient.
