    The Left-Hand and Right-Hand Path

"Right-Hand Path" elevate spirituality, the strict observance of moral codes.

"Left-Hand Path" belief systems seek to "become divinities."

    ******************************

I was visiting a cemetery in Indiana and came across this metal figurine:

Perhaps it became mauled by a lawnmower, though it almost appeared like it was deliberately symbolizing something; one wing gives tribute to a Luciferian concept, as might be described by a Phaeton or Icarus mythology, seeking to test fate like the towers of Babylon, all the while ascribing to a "left hand path." All the while it is suspended upon it's left foot. . . etc.

So what do you ascribe to?

I think I vacillate between the two.

I'm sure I won't be the only one to have read this thread title as "The Left-Hand and Right-Hand Ptah".

He probably does think of himself as a god of sorts.

Lol at not ascribing to ideologies. As if that were actually a choice.
For some, "how", not "why", is the fundamental unit of measure for curiosity. This divergence is neither parallel, nor straight. Where one might have a "why?-5" problem, it might only be a "how?-2" question. But then, there are also many things where the "why?" is immediately obvious but the "how?" is best measured in centuries of perpetual wonder. Both approaches have their drawbacks.

If one is superior, the other is unaware of it.

Well.. if I described my behavior and my mindset, it doesn't fit firmly into one camp or the other at all times.

Some describe Islam as an ideology, rather than a religion.

I would describe religions as ideologies.

    Darkside for me.
Violence is never the right answer, unless used against heathens and monsters.
