I listened to it while at work. It sounded okay and stuff but nothing grabbed my attention except maybe the last song which sounded like it could be off Drukqs ... maybe it needs time to settle.

That said though, about 80% of songs in the Aphex Twin / AFX / etc. back-catalogue I could take or leave ... but maybe about 10% are among my favourites. It's a similar deal for me and Autechre. I used to have to playlist that shit since I found listening through most album (excepting maybe Selected Ambient Works) was tedious.

That's how it should be with any good, experimental artist.

It's funny to hear this and analord and realize that everything that seemed so revolutionary and subversive is actually just him.

It's also funny that the whole music world has suddenly developed taste and hears this music differently than 20 years ago.
