How much do you think you walk a day?

Not counting anything done on a treadmill or jogging/running. This is more about lifestyle outside of deliberate exercise routines.

FYI, if you don't know, then there's an app for that. Track yourself for a week and then come back.

It only just now occurred to me how incredibly unlikely it is that any of the members here are Amish.

I signed up to ingress just under a month ago. It says I've walked roughly 150 kms. I haven't had ingress on all the time, so I've walked further than that, but i've probably walked a little bit more because of ingress, so lets call it even...

This weekend I left my house only once to go get coffee on sunday and I walked about 100 - 150 yards.

You need a lower section on this poll.

4.5km to the gym and back 3x/week, and then about 5km with the dog probably 4x a week.

    Not much at all anymore.

Weight has been creeping on since I began transitioning to being an at-home mom. I wore a pedometer at work a couple times and averaged about 7k-8k steps per shift--yeah that is still not even 4 miles shutthefuckup. I have resigned myself to the treadmill now.

Almost none these days. In Boston I would sometimes walk 10 miles a day just to avoid driving anywhere, and in Raleigh after I quit my job I usually walked around to and from downtown once a day for coffee or dinner or something just to stay busy and get out of the house, about 1.5 miles each way. Working in manufacturing I got a lot of exercise, though I couldn't tell you exactly how much. I do know that once I quit I started gaining weight even though I cut my alcohol and empty calorie consumption by probably 80%.

not much at all & i hate it

for the past year i've only been living/working in really suburban and/or shitty industrial areas where you don't wanna be outside breathing the air. decent amount of lifting shit every day, though.

i actually really want a dog to go walking with, but can't right now. 3:

I've actually been tracking lately. Usually 2-5 miles/day, but sometimes up to 8.

I work from home and when I do work onsite, the longest I walk is generally to/from the airport gate, which, if it's Minneapolis, will inevitably be more than a mile away.

Same in Seattle, the flight to Atlanta on Delta is the last damn gate!
