    Welcome!

Might try to go and see the new Bladerunner this weekend now that the initial rush to see it should be over.

I tried to watch the new blade runner, but it's not in theaters where I live. Wasn't even in theaters for a month here.

Apparently it's doing bad in the box office.

What's the story behind your username?

Pan Sonic was an experimental band from Finland. Lots of custom made synths and weird, textural soundscapes made from analog gear. This Iranain computer science nerd named Farhad turned me onto them when we were both hosting radio shows in college many years ago. I heard their album "A" and lost my goddamn mind.

I grew out of it eventually but when I registered on the old INTP site, I was still way deep into Pan Sonic. I put the _000 at the end for some reason I can't remember. Maybe it was just an effort to be interesting.

All truth passes through three stages:

I don't remember. It was a long time ago, but it wasn't mind blowing enough to lodge itself.

What are your preferred topics of discussion?

Games, stories, story-telling, life, death, what happens between life and death. It's easier to sort out what I definitely don't like talking about as one of the things I like about myself is my ability to find a left field angle to turn what would be a boring topic for me into something more interesting.

Which country do you live in? Have you lived in other countries?

I live in the US. I've been to a couple other countries (Mexico, Canada, Bahamas) but never lived there.

    What languages do you speak?

English, a fair amount of maths, some Mandarin, less Japanese, enough Spanish to wash dishes.

Which age demographic do you relate to the most?

    I have no idea.

What are some of your hobbies and interests?

Deconstructing stories, reading, anime, comic books (though less so than when I was younger), biking, hiking, hallucinogens, games in general.

What are some books and movies you've enjoyed?

I grew up reading Heinlein, Piers Anthony (before he got all soft and shit), Asimov, PKD, Frank Herbert, Saberhagen, and dozens of others. I generally prefer science fiction and fantasy, though Elmore Leonard makes a strong case for contemporary settings. I prefer stories that make me laugh or that drag me through the mud with the protagonist.

As for movies, my taste is similar to that of my taste in books, with one notable exception: I enjoy really really bad movies much much more than I can enjoy a badly written book. I also enjoy artsy movies that I probably wouldn't tolerate as a book. Stuff with drawn out meaningful silence--that's something that's difficult to even get across in a book, but in a movie, it can be a mutual experience. You feel the same suspense and rambling thoughts that the characters feel as the that silence stretches out. You can feel the same awkwardness as they fidget with their hands or evade eye contact. But in a book, that sort of experience is there and gone in a moment, because when nothing is happening, nothing is written. Even if you spend that time detailing the thoughts of a character, there's no way to convey the agony of the passing moments as those thoughts are explored, nor to adequately imply how long those thoughts too to cogitate. Any emotion relying on timing and pauses is significantly harder to convey in prose than it is with film.

What kind of music do you listen to?

Whatever suits my mood. But it tends toward rock and electronic music. That said, I like classic country and big band swing. In the right context, a four piece jazz band is perfect. Cellos are among my favorite instruments.

What's the story behind your username?

Hephaestus was unique among the [Greek] gods in his physical ugliness. He was also unique in his level of creativity--he was the only god who never stopped creating as part of his very nature--as opposed to the many gods who never stopped procreating. Of the Greek gods, I would say he was the one I could most identify with. He was also the least rapey and most civilized and adult of the gods, but that might just be due to not getting a lot of stories written about him.
Edit: interesting info. Thorough. Btw concerning my original post I don't actually read sci-fi much. Nope. It's partly that I can't sit for long and partly limited frame of reference. I occasionally post bs requests for suggestions/advice just to solicit some kind of amusing response. I guess I'm trying to satisfy a craving for interactivity. I'll learn something then find people who are expertly, and I dunno, use them to fill my knowledge gaps. Or just interface clumsily. I've been pooping a lot lately too. I just sit there in my own stench contemplating nothing. It relaxes me. I'm quite boring. Been thinking about catfishing a middle aged woman on craftbooking forum. Seems like that'll better meet my needs. Make up some backstory and post fake pics. String her along then tell the truth for kicks. Stupid T.V. show btw. There I go monologging.

I hope someone out there reads this. I hope I bring value to someone's life. I just want to be loved or ignored. Hm. Airport H2O @ 3.29 per 16 ounce a bottle sounds about right. I'm in a restaurant drinking it for free instead.

    Bye now.

How do you come to learn about MBTI / Typology?

I dont exactly remember the origins but I came across 16personalities.com once and took their test. I decided to then watch some videos on the result and felt like the general consensus described me to a fault. Ever since, I have taken a tolerant stance to other's behavior in light of my new understanding.

What are your preferred topics of discussion?

Discussions are few and far inbetween because most people I come across are heavily opinionated and driven by feeling rather than facts, however, when I do find a reasonable sounding board... topics like economics, morals and principles seem to be my defaults.

Which country do you live in? Have you lived in other countries?

I live in the US... Florida to be exact. Grew up in the Cayman Islands with a west indian background.

    What languages do you speak?

English is primary and because of an 8 year stint in Miami, I can carry a conversation in spanish. My next language to attack (after becoming fluent in spanish) is Mandarin.

Which age demographic do you relate to the most?

I'm 38 and relate to anyone who shows basic respect and conversational etiquette.

What are some of your hobbies and interests?

I love working with wood (Carpentry) but I spend alot of time in my digital playground Adobe CC (Premier Pro, Illustrator, After Effects).

What are some books and movies you've enjoyed?

My all time favorite growing up was the Matrix Trilogy but I tend to read alot of spiritual and self development books now... one of my favorite authors is Dr. Myles Munroe.

What kind of music do you listen to?

I'm so all over the place... EDM, R&B, even a little country, but what I find that really tugs at my soul is the melody... the ability for the various instruments to just drown me in feeling is what I'm really after

What's the story behind your username?

I grew up wanting to create this grand company, one that would serve the community it was in well and one that I could pass on to my children. It was to bare my name but my birth name wasn't cutting it in my mind... so I made a new one. I haven't made this company yet but I've had 2 children since and they already have this new name I've created.

How do you come to learn about MBTI / Typology?
A friend on the Christogenea forum was posting about the Temperaments and its possible validity, because it has endured for so long. I wanted to figure out my Temperament type and couldn't and then I remembered MBTI, I convinced myself it might be easier to find a fitting job, once I figure it out, it is not. I also dig the "Objective Psychology" system of typing, might research Sociotypes/Socionics later.
What are your preferred topics of discussion?
Whatever I have researched not too long ago and what I am researching now. Currently I don't want to debate much, because I am in a stressful life-situation, with family members pressuring me, Zero IRL friends i have contacts with and problems finding the right way/job/apprenticeship/market niche.
Which country do you live in? Have you lived in other countries?
Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. I had multiple family vacations in Denmark and school vacations to England, Vienna and Berlin.
    What languages do you speak?
Mon français est terrible et j'ai utilisé un traducteur pour ce texte
Which age demographic do you relate to the most?
    Hard one. 40-Deathbed probably
What are some of your hobbies and interests?
Consuming obscure, socially offensive and scientifically questionable topics to then brood about it and telling everyone around me about it.
I am on the Internet all day, sometimes I actually read books, which I never finish.
I also have many books lying around which i may read sometime (probably not) and still plan on ordering more (How to Judge People by What They Look like)
When I'm doing badly I also play games and watch people play games or browse 4chan to look at memes and new interesting topics. I have cut down on those somwhat, especially on the former one.
What are some books and movies you've enjoyed?
At Our Wits End, Revolt Against the Modern World, Holy Bible (I have not finished one of them, probably will never finish Revolt)
Fight Club and LOTR was nice, Interstellar was enjoyable, but I generally don't like movies. Documentaries and Conspiracy-type stuff and "forgotten/hidden" history and stuff (Asha Logos series on this is very appealing "Our Subverted History")
What kind of music do you listen to?
Rage: Old School Metallica, Manowar, Old School Dark Moor, Pantera, Lich King, Testament, Obituary, Death, Bolt Thrower, Ensiferum, Dio, Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian
Feels: Burzum, Enya, Von Thronstahl, Werkraum, Different Video Game OST's, Depeche Mode, MGMT, Tears for Fears, The Cure, The Smiths, Emily Bindinger, Stan Rogers, Dungeon Synth i.g., Italo Disco
Energy: Sunbeam, Trance/Electro/Breakbeat stuff, hard to specify Artists, too diverse
Abstract: Venetian Snares, Gachi and Honk edits, Mr. Bond parodies, Death Grips, Death in June, Sunforest, Renaissance, Wappenbund, Feindflug, Shoegaze i.g., Witch House i.g. Axius Link esp.
The Categories blur strongly, lots of stuff hard to specify
What's the story behind your username?
People call me Samson or Jesus because of my size + long brown hair, I used it first on the Christogenea forums and retroactively applied it on other accounts.
I rather go with Samson than Jesus, even tho I'm more often compared to the latter. (I had long hair before converting last summer)
Both have Strength from/through the Divine, which I need too
