Just wondering if folks would be interested in playing a collaborative chess-based game on here.
I say chess-based because to partially combat the use of chess engines, I'd propose a straightforward chess variant to render them less useful. Options would be something like Bughouse chess, alternative dimension chess (e.g., 9x9, etc.), or maybe someone has suggestions. We can change variants as we go along if there's interest.
You'd play as a group and publicly discuss/vote on a move. First bold move would be final. Turn ends when all active players have voted or a day passes. The move with a plurality of votes (ties randomly chosen from by me) would be played.
At the moment, just wondering if there's interest or not. Playing as a group means there should be a mix of abilities so beginners shouldn't be shy ... might also be a fun way to learn.
What do you say?

EDIT: still looking for more folks!
EDIT: if you're interested, have a look at the poll above. We can use this to balance the teams a little.
