    Play Chess!

This thread differs from @Utisz's thread as this thread's purpose is to get two forum members playing chess together with as little effort as possible.

To do this, either create an account on www.chess.com, or set up a temporary game on www.en.lichess.org and post the link here. I will update this post with member's usernames/emails (burners, probably) on www.chess.com.

*the username(s) are clickable and will direct you to the player's profile.

Is there any way, as an outsider, to watch the game? If so, I'll gladly confine myself to doing that and to making the occasional Stefan-Zweig-esque remark.

You just click the link as I understand. It gives analysis of the openings automatically and you can click along. There is also a textbox where you can make comments as you kibitz like a light-weight author.

Oh, and felicitations Dot. Although in fairness some of prometheus' moves were in the realm of the somewhat improbable. Were you rushing? Or do you suffer from my problem which is that my grand tactical designed get shoaled by the rocks of the bleeding obvious threat?

Yes to both. And I was a bit tired and drunk (both players I think) and I haven't played chess in a long time. I tend to miss the obvious when I'm out of chess-shape. I think he gave away a few pieces and then I gave away my bishop and missed taking his bishop when I had the opportunity. Also missed an earlier checkmate. Complete disaster!
