    Refrigerator Art.

In this thread, you are both the fledgeling artist and the proud parent affixing the child's art to the fridge. This thread is the fridge. Post any visual art you like- scans, images, movies that you made.

I stole this quote from myself in post #67:
This is my current definition of art: What results as you overcome your fear of expressing yourself. In this paradigm, I reject the concept of the art critic

I have not the talent, patience, time, or budget to strive for the realism in today's video games and besides all that, I like the obviously computer generated look from the nineties. So when I set to make a thing such as movie or character or a vehicle it always conforms to that style(if you will). Most times, I have one specific goal or feature in mind to aim for in anything I make(whether it's a movie, video game, song, Lego ship).

In this case, I was adding to my box of tools the use of a sky dome:

The dome is way too small to give an nice flat horizon, but the concept is adequately manifested here. I think it took 20 minutes to render the 1000 frames.

I use mostly Blender and Gimp and both are free and open source. Other folks on youtube test features with only 10 second videos so I try to make them long enough that you don't miss 10 percent of it by blinking. Other animations I've made can bee seen on my youtube channel so I won't post those here- just the ones I make in the future.

It occurred to me that something was missing. It was the shadows. So I added shadows, a couple more realistic looking trees, three little people, and a sign naming the buildings "INTPComplex" which essentially makes this video a promo for this site.

Rendering now. 11 seconds per frame= 3 hours render time.

It goes to show you the site logo looks really nice- even in a different setting.

I wanted to learn the skydome to make a castle scene. At a later time I'll make a good castle, but this one was my first try.

I'm amused by the depiction of the site as a remote enclave complex (qua compound), with buildings for subforums and so on. Heh.

You get to be the hero in the next episode. I'm sharing the videos everywhere it's appropriate so maybe it'll bring a few visitors.

Art adjusted to imitate life. The original villain wasn't running amuck. With this new development the plot of episode 2 has become less amorphic.
