I think what personality types pre-humans had is relevant.... and what apes such as chimps have.

Contrary to the popular notion of survival of the fittest, Nature loves diversity. It's why we see bell curves when we measure the various attributes in any given population.

Nature, of course, is mindless and can't predict what 'fittest' will mean in the future.

Example: Peppered Moths were flexible enough to survive industrial England because they were diverse in coloration in a way that was normally seen as unfit.

Thus, I imagine the approximation of all 16 Types existed prior to Homo Sapiens.

I imagine ISTPs were your go-to stone tools making guys.

Sitting off by themselves bashing out hand axes from coarse grain congregates.

If maybe they could suffer the un-attentive ways of an INTP apprentice, and didn't slap it from his hands, they might have been amazed when the INTP knapped the glass-like obsidian to a Razor-sharp edge.

For some reason, I'm thinking Promethean Temperment (thanks for the neuroses ya fire stealing hooligans).

Glimpses do ye seem to see of that mortally intolerable truth; that all deep, earnest thinking is but the intrepid effort of the soul to keep the open independence of her sea; while the wildest winds of heaven and earth conspire to cast her on the treacherous, slavish shore?

I imagine ESFJs were always making the NTs give offerings to bison paintings.

Obviously SJ and SP are the lowest personality types. Having a respect for knowledge and truth implies having a concept of knowledge and truth. It requires a higher level of cognition for it to even make sense as a descriptor. Valuing Social order and experiences? Even rats can understand the value of social order.
