How often do you think about your own mortality?

Whether it's anxious or contemplative thoughts.

Since i learned of it til around age 20, it was constant, as if i was living in a memento mori painting. Less and less the closer i get to it.

I don't think about it very much. It creates existential anxiety that I don't need or want. When the thoughts I arise I just think of something else.

not very often, but in my teens it used to be constant.

i think about it most during those "in love" moments now. thinking too hard about it is like :,

It's like a demon scratching at the back of every thought. If things quiet down too much louder and louder it gets.

Yes, everyday. And then onto the essential meaninglessness.

Which leads to the conclusion that the day is best spent filled with whatever has the effects of rendering to consciousness the most diverting set of experiences with minimal pain, and an attempt to optimise thereto over the long run.

The worst part of being in a rewarding long-term relationship is knowing that one of you is going to die eventually. Dying together would be ideal. I'd even be willing to go early for that.

There's this thing I get now and then ONLY when I'm laying down, I think usually when I wake up from a nap or in the middle of the night. It happened last night. I think of the near inevitability of one day feeling that final pain, inability to breath, or suffering whatever it is I'll be suffering immediately before dying. I can't duplicate the feeling no matter what I think about during the day when not lying down, though I'm capable of less intense anguish during the day.
