    Your Netflix 5 Star Ratings

When I came up with the idea for this thread, I didn't think about how potentially embarrassing it would be. All the better!

    Mine are:

    North & South
    Jurassic Park
    Children of Heaven
    Baran
    Ondine
    All Creatures Great and Small
    Call the Midwife
    A Knight's Tale
    Nebraska
    The Fifth Element
    Breastmilk
    Arranged
    Daawat-e-Ishq
    Cairo Time

    I would categorize them as:

    Spoiler: ...

    Life-affirming medicalish drama/documentary:
    • All Creatures Great and Small
    • Call the Midwife
    • Breastmilk

    Understated and atmospheric romance:
    • Baran
    • Ondine
    • Cairo Time

    Social justice romance:
    • North & South

    Cross-cultural female bonding:
    • Arranged

    Zany unconventional romance:
    • Daawat-e-Ishq

    Feelgood adventure:
    • Jurassic Park
    • A Knight's Tale
    • The Fifth Element

I tear up just thinking about this movie:
    • Children of Heaven

    Understated family drama/comedy:
    • Nebraska

I'll try to come up with ideas I probably would not have seen had it not been for Netflix.

    Four Minutes - (German film)
    The Disappearance of Alice Creed

Now, suddenly blank. Will pop back in as I remember.

some of my 4 star ratings are way better than some of these, reserved for great movies but you're still picky about little things for some reason.

I don't use it a whole lot, so I only have two 5 star ratings:

    WWII from space

Tell No One - A French film. It had been in development here in the States but I think there's been a carousel of directors and stars attached.

Okay so it's not on Netflix yet, but coming soon they're going to have NEW EPISODES of Black Mirror on Netflix. I can't wait to see those, and I think Netflix is a perfect home for the Internet's favorite near-futuristic dystopian drama.

    David Wong, regarding Chicago
Six centuries ago, the pre-Colombian natives who settled here named this region with a word which in their language means "the Mouth of Shadow". Later, the Iroquois who showed up and inexplicably slaughtered every man, woman and child renamed it "Seriously, Fuck that Place". When French explorer Jacques Marquette passed through the area he marked his map with a drawing of a brownish blob emerging from between the Devil's buttocks.

Trailer Park Boys is good though it can start to feel repetitive.
American Dad is great because it's bound to be at least averagely entertaining. I can't stand Family Guy.
Archer is amazing and its the only show I keep up with other than:
BoJack Horseman. It's a true gem. Tied with Archer and better than the rest.

I rarely watch shows or movies so this keeps me busy. I have tons of American Dad and Trailer Park Boys to go through.
The idea that there is more is essential to our humanity.
