    Organizations You Support

This could be monetarily and/or emotionally, mentally, spiritually... grammatically...

Basically, who are the good guys? What organizations do you think are actually doing good (stemming the tide of evil) for the human race?

Here are a few of mine:

    The Long Now
Pros: Seriously thinking about the big picture. Working on actual, concrete long-term projects like the Clock and the Rosetta Disc. Their blog is sometimes meh, but overall worth a damn.
Cons: A bunch of white technocrats in California with the accompanying biases.

    Oxfam
Pros: Working on real fucking serious problems that affect a lot of people (earthquakes, refugee crises, etc). Seem to have their shit together and try to address core issues. Came recommended by someone I trust.
Cons: I dunno, more tactical than strategic? British? ...Probably I haven't researched enough.

    The Global Fund for Women
Pros: Grassroots, women centric. Puts the money where the wheels meet the road.
Cons: In the past few years they seem to be more about slick marketing and rich women's problems.

    ...Take it away, INTPx!

Actually, you are a mind reader! As I was making coffee earlier, I had a sudden thought about how expensive this place must be to shoulder alone. After I take care of some things around here, I intend to throw in my support.

Yeah I was watching the video and I was surprised of how much work goes into it. Tis a thankless job I imagine. Gods be praised.

I actively don't support organizations I view as predatory. This includes a lot of charities--and the Girls Scouts of America. You might wonder why I view charities and the Girl Scouts (oh! And many high school athletics/bands) as predatory. Well, it's because they behave like predators: they camp out and ambush people where they go to get food.
--Mention of these things is so taboo, they aren't even allowed a name for the prohibition. It is just not done.
