    Stim Helmets

There are a couple different kinds of helmets one can wear to stimulate the brain.

( 1. ) The transcutaneous nerve stim is powerful and I will talk more of it later.

( 2. ) The other is a so-called "God helmet" . A scientist created it and got some publicity re: his theories and results. There has been trouble repeating his results.

Another helmet was created that was perhaps inspired by this...

Probably posted this before, of course the direction is all wrong, this is a mind reading device, not mind altering. Get the mind altering aspect down and you could sell the most useful product on the planet "STFU SPOT"

I typically shy away from these sorts of seemingly metaphysical discussions, but I'm glad I watched the video because I was rather clueless as to what a 'spiritual experience' might be like. Too, I wasn't aware that the technique involves the hyper-stimulation of the cerebral cortex of the right hemisphere exclusively.
Before going any further down this path, I think we should mention that Koren & Persinger's work has met with skepticism from groups unable to reproduce the results.

However, I was recently watching a TED by Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor wherein she described her expediences of losing higher left brain functions (and exclusive domination by the right brain consequently) during a massive stroke.

Her Anecdotal comments kinda makes me squirm a bit, but they are strikingly similar to the comments of the test subject in this video.

It leads me to wonder about one of my own pet notions of induced shock being an evolutionary adaptation. (Prey animal in the jaws of death quietly resigns itself to its fate and doesn't risk injury to the effective predator...that culls and keeps fit the heard)
With an overarching theme that it isn't survival of the fittest but survival of the ecosystem that dominates evolutionary pressures.

Thus, the 'spiritual experience' might be a sentient mind's interpretation of an ancient Darwinian tool????

    Anyways, thanks.
