    Holoverse centres - beyond VR

    First Bruce Dell was working on "Unlimited Detail" technology:


    It used voxel data rather than polygon data....

    I was at a small event that Bruce Dell and one of his employees attended.

    I suggested they make a game like this:


    Then they used laser scanners to get the data:



    Then out of nowhere they opened a Holoverse centre with 40 rooms on Australia's Gold Coast and plan to open more of these around Australia and the world.

    BTW I was looking forward to Microsoft's Hololens

    Though apparently the hologram only appears in the middle of your field of view and then gets cut off...


    He says that previous similar rooms used 80-100 computers while his uses one ordinary desktop computer. BTW his technology doesn't require a 3D card.

    You wear 3D glasses so it is better than just flat images on the walls/floor.
