How do you make something corny?

    Add corn.
Most of time, when people ask why something terrible happened, they don't realize they are looking for someone to blame.

"My arm/leg has fallen asleep" in German is literally the way to say that you've got pins and needles in the respective limb.

Even in the U.S. I think if it's just numb we say numb, or "I can't feel my arm." "Fallen asleep" can mean pins and needles or just numb, I think.

My friends are Dot. I will accept no further friend requests. This doesn't mean I don't love you or anything so don't be offended.

Then your joke may in fact not be a joke, seeing as the vital characteristic, i.e. a sudden twist element, is missing. Stating the obvious does not constitute a joke.
