call it a hunch but i think @MCIV is 1104

does "desert island" still get up to 5 votes? it's more fun that way and makes more of a story in my head. also how many winners for that one?

i'm prob gonna procrastinate like crazy on voting, sorry.
Unicorns: I occasionally behave like one; while behaving like a unicorn, I put a condom on my horn, stuck it into a dumbbell weight to keep it safe from tarnishing. But my soul was already tarnished; simultaneously, my words were also tarnished.

I have an announcement to make.

From this year on out, I shall not be selectable for the Hottest Female award anymore. Even if I got enough votes to receive it, I am not going to accept it.

For these reasons: I believe people should be given awards for what they do, not what they are. However, this is an entirely personal choice. The Hottest Female is a classic and fun award, and I believe there are quite a few ladies here who deserve it indeed. I therefore urge you to vote for them (and I shall, too). Let the award go to somebody else this year – the category will be a lot more exciting this way, too.

If you wish to endorse what I bring to this forum, I suggest voting me for Most Creative instead. Below are some reasons why you might deem me a good choice for this category.

    Spoiler: Arguments
This being a forum, I'll limit my argument to a selection of threads I started this year.

    Folding 1000 Paper Cranes

The year set off with an eponymous thread resulting in an epic origami battle showdown which was narrowly won by Sistamatic.

    Gardening & Botany Thread
Tips and tricks on how to raise and grow plants, illustrated.

    Fixing Things
Creative solutions applied to everyday objects.

Tell Me Your Favourite Pokémon, And I Will Tell You Who You Are
INTPx's very own weird personality assessment.

The INTPx Vault of Logic Riddles

Forum game with verbal and mathematical riddles, many of them original.

    Productivity Link Collection
Because creative people need to get stuff done, too.

    Piano Thread

Place to share piano playing advice and videos.

Your Present Life in One Sentence
Or in other words, a group microblog.

The World As I Hear It
A visual audio blog transcending the boundaries of mere text.

    What Are You Wearing?
Because your choice of shirt says at least as much about you as your choice of drink.

And finally, this year's Magnum Opus:

Austrian Politics or: The Secret World of Right-Wing Populists, Explored

INTPx's front row seat to a real-world, current political novel. Index and intrigues included.

So there you have it. Thank you for reading, and decide for yourselves.

Am I allowed to opt out of the awards completely? If so, I do.

has "most educational" been suggested? if so i second that suggestion...

What's the "Desert Island Award"? What does that even mean?

Meh. All of those lack punch. Were those democratically agreed on? I don't think so. "Sexiest Voice" is still the best of the four, but even that is somewhat flawed given the small number of vocal samples we have.

Also, "Most Interesting Perspective" and "Least Likely To Ever Leave"? Who came up with those? They don't really say much, either.

I say let's keep the award number to a minimum if we don't want it to end up like the infamous Billy Wilder quote:
"Awards are like haemorrhoids. Sooner or later every arsehole gets them."

Edit: Speaking of which, what happened to Ass of the Year?!
