Why are you interested in personality tests?

Analyse your own desperate and futile need for introspection here, ya filthy animals.
I always had a repulsive need to be something more than human.

I love to post about what simplistic black/white arbitrary binary bullshit the MBTI pushes; my guess is that people love clean labels because "to be an ENTJ" is a firm declaration of identity. Then, person person will live up to the type description.

In a way, I think people become the type over time; what was a loose description tightens and hardens.

    It's a continuum.

I adjusted my "type" to better reflect how I perceive myself.

I got introduced to MBTI on an week long training course (my first ever visit to NC) - it was called "management skills for IT professionals" and a lot of it hinged upon recognizing different types of people on our teams and recognizing what kind of manager we were ourselves.
e.g. lots of IT staff are introverted so go easy on public praise and plenty of practical advice.

I scored INTP on the long form test with bubble test form that we took, but I think I was answering questions in the mindset of problem solving (as the then helpdesk group head) and I've scored INTJ ever since, albeit only around 12% J
I should probably be considered a hybrid, chimera INTX.

I also think that MBTI is missing a dichotomy. A sense of urgency variable addressed by SLOAN with the second place "calm/limbic" dichotomy.

    INTJ RCOEI Aquarius FTW.

Interesting how you include astrology in personality science.

Personality science is pseudo science. Jung's work has all but been disproved in tests.
