Do you use Default or Darkness?

When it comes to forum skin.

Curious if anyone else uses darkness also.

People are actually using the default
Those who begin coercive elimination of dissent soon find themselves exterminating dissenters. Compulsory unification of opinion achieves only the unanimity of the graveyard.

    Dark is awesome.

I don't get who would voluntarily stare at a white screen... freaks.

Oh shit we got one more darkness.

I just assumed everyone else was using default, but more people use darkness than I originally thought.

Its more low-key, not as bright to stand out as you sneak a peek while you're chillin at best buy.

I use darkness all the time for code due to all the color tagging, but I think otherwise black on white is easier to parse. The only reason then I use it is lower brightness.

    Default.

I've never liked bright text on dark backgrounds. Leads to eye strain IMO. Black on white isn't really optimal either but it's better than white on black. Ideally there would be some sort of black text on light to medium gray background (or light to medium blue or something along those lines). But one makes do.

I vaguely recall that some research was done that determined gold on green was the best combination for both contrast and minimal eyestrain. I recall back in my youth at some point there was as general migration from black chalkboards and white chalk to flat green chalkboards and gold/yellow chalk. I think that was based on this research.
