    Net neutrality

    The vote is today.

    This deserves its own thread.

Ajit's on CNN with his bullshit spin doctor routine. More info about net neutrality.

I contacted the three who will likely vote to oppose net neutrality but not sure if public outcry outweighs huge lobbyist interests at this point.

I predict that if net neutrality is broken, there will be outrage of the sort I would love to

It will almost certainly be overturned.

I would love to see some outrage. Americans are by and large used to volunteering to bend over for their corporate interest and elite ruling class. Unrest of that apathy would be awesome, but not sure if their outrage can be anything but ineffectual. The commission isn't directly beholden to voters.

isn't the Silicon Valley group large enough to counter-lobby the other side?
Loneliness isn't being alone with no one to talk to. Loneliness is being surrounded by so many people, none of whom sees the real you. Loneliness isn't an island. It's a sea of people moving through you and past you. It's a storm of empty days and empty moments, going through the motions and hoping that just for one day your emptiness is filled.

Loneliness isn't a state of being alone, but a state of not being fully understood.

But it is indirectly. Per Wikipedia, Commissioners are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. If the Democrats don't make a campaign issue of this, they're stoooopid.

Nothing's gonna happen though. Nobody felt any effects when this legislation was passed a couple years ago, and they're not gonna feel any effects now.

The legislation in 2015 was to stop telecom companies prioritizing traffic, because it had just publicly started becoming an issue.

Comcast got in trouble almost a decade ago for throttling (allegedly blocking in some cases) bittorrent traffic

This along with the Disney Fox acquisition has totally bummed out today. Only a few will not only control what you see but the rate at which you see it. Good luck trying to find smaller content. F - this greed infested world!
