    Thank a Member

Thank you, INTPx in general, for your function as a combo external brain/intelligent and personalized search engine.

Thank you for helping me narrow down my gift ideas.

@Robcore, I don't think I ever mentioned it, but I got my kid a balance bike last year at your suggestion. It took him a few months to warm up to it, but now he loves it. It's great.

@pensive_pilgrim, spotify was exactly what I was looking for in a music app, and it interfaces with our other tech, so it actually makes life less rather than more complicated, for once.
Too bad, Lady Une. You were far too lenient.
As a soldier, yes. But as a civilian I lived an austere life.

No one else uses this thread?? Ingrates!

@kari Per your advice I have been changing the water and trimming the stems of a bouquet of flowers I bought (for $5!) almost two weeks ago, and they're still going strong.

No one else is using the thread because thanking someone publicly has something garish and indecent about it. It's like going around in real life yelling "Look! I interacted with this cool person! They communicated with me and now I am thanking them! Isn't that awesome?" I mean, yes, it may be, but you'll run the risk of instrumentalising the other person as a canvas for your ego. On the other hand, if you thank someone in private, it'll just be between you and them, like a precious little secret, and they can be certain that your gratitude is genuine.

Thanks @Sappho for being a shining beacon of rationality in the cesspool that is life.

This thread is now a Sappho appreciation thread

The community in general posts a few interesting nuggets. I've read a few books mentioned by members (can't recall which at the moment) and found them enlightening. And learned a few other useful things on random topics here and there.

So keep on keeping on fellow INTPers.
