ok im going to go out on a limb here and say that the big bang hasn't happened yet as the state for its manufacture first requires the cessation of the universe. "add chicken or egg thought here"

I have a hypothesis that it was more of a sucking sound than a bang. Yeah, there was a bang, as some reality somewhere ruptured into the void of nothing that was this universe until the rupture happened, but the introduction of matter into this universe was the result of this universe's mass nothing acting like a vacuum and pulling things from the other reality into itself.

I call it the sucky universe hypothesis.
Most of time, when people ask why something terrible happened, they don't realize they are looking for someone to blame.

I don't like that a vacuum is thought of as negative pressure. It's just nothingness that positive pressure stuff finds it easier to enter. It's not like a bunch of claws or something dragging things in.

The term "big bang" refers to the expansion of the universe from the planck epoch onward. It is technically still happening. Whatever actually created the universe is a different matter entirely.
