Maybe I can also eat that. Looks really nice.

I have half of a burger in the fridge but it's a bit late to eat. I'll go to sleep instead.

    wedge salad

i started liking this salad after watching roger sterling from mad men order it as a meal

    you can hear the freshness

i used a mandolin to shave the onion and tomato so they would stay situated on the wedge better vs. if diced veggies were used
i soaked the tomato and onion in apple cider vinegar and salt for a few minutes. i might've skipped this step if i had red onion on hand.
bleu cheese dressing tends to takeover salads (for me at least), so i used a modest amount around the outside of the wedge as an adhesive for the shaved tomato and onion
i added two strips of crumbled, microwaved bacon

    it was good!

Mmm... I need to reconsider this roomie business.

The recipe is from an aussie website.

    Ingredients are:

    40ml (2 tablespoons) oil
1 large (200g) onion, peeled and finely chopped
1 medium (120g) carrot, peeled and finely chopped
1 stick (100g) celery, finely chopped
    500g veal mince
    500g pork mince
    100g shortcut bacon, finely chopped
22g (about 3 large) garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
    100g (4 tablespoons) tomato paste
    125ml (1/2 cup) white wine
    250ml (1 cup) chicken stock
    800g canned diced tomatoes
    2 bay leaves
5g (1 tablespoon, firmly packed) roughly chopped fresh oregano leaves
    20ml (1 tablespoon) balsamic vinegar
Salt, to taste (we use about 3/4 teaspoon fine salt)
    Pepper, to taste
