Oh I forgot Jeff Bezos. He'll probably build a Bezos bubble for us where our bodies will be traded for glorious nitrogen rich fertilizer that the drones will use to grow silicon valley the biggest produce of all time.
I was beating off while I read this and gave myself a minor strain. While your original actions don't violate the NAP, I have to inform you that I'm charging rent on my photons, so I'll need .5 bitcoin for each letter in this response. A UK based report from the Centre for Social justice looking into the feasibility of a Universal Basic Income.
Conclusions: Not feasible in simplistic terms, could be enacted to be affordable, but under complex eligibility requirements.
(Reflecting well why there is no UBI, but there is a [compolex] welfare system)

at 1:01 - "...a glimpse of what society could be like if it was run by a socialist government pursuing a radically redistributive agenda..."

See Venezuela for even bigger glimpse. Ah, the socialist dream.

Ditto for the US people, in reverse.
My thoughts essentially, however, there are other factors as well, education, quality of mental healthcare (early detection, and also more effective treatment), work-life balance, culture... When I'm off work I'll usually travel to Switzerland/France/Germany/Austria to just get away from the insanity that it is here. It's always a culture shock to return to the U.S., not to leave it. I do enjoy living in U.S., and wouldn't take a job elsewhere for the forseeable future, but it's depressing how far behind we are when compared to a lot of countries in Europe. Slowly working my way towards Swiss dual citizenship, I probably will move there in 10-15 years if our political system doesn't come out of the nosedive it's in.
