    Updated the site:
    https://linenum.com/
....Across the history of cave paintings, circles, triangles, and quadrangles (including squares) were found in 20% of sites, while cruciforms (crosses) have been found in 13% of sites. The pentagram (star) is a more modern sign.
I thought that was interesting... all 4 of the basic shapes... (well squares are technically quadrangles...)

I'm into semiotics (via credit/blame of three people on here), which involves the study not only of what we refer to as ‘signs’ in everyday speech, but of anything which ‘stands for’ something else....
So you also could involve colors standing for something else?

I liked my "energy" colors like yellow sun energy, etc:

Though I changed "magenta spirit energy" to "white spirit energy". (and I call cyan "blue")

Have you come across other examples of "line numbers"? (besides tally marks which I added to my web page)

Since you seem to be an expert, I was wondering what are your thoughts on the PlayStation controller symbols:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_controller

    Red circle - "confirm"
    Blue cross - "cancel"
Green triangle - "point of view"
Pink square - "a sheet of paper to access menus"

And it is often in this order - triangle, circle, cross, square.

That is the sequence that is trademarked...

My sequence is circle, cross, triangle, square.

Despite how crappy I think PlayStation's version of their 4 symbols is, there are huge fans... e.g. here's 50 tattoos that often involve those symbols:

I've been thinking about 7 (in terms of various bases, days in the week, etc)

When I was in the hospital I drew a heptagram like this: (using a protractor)

That involved drawing a line to every second vertex...

Then I realised there is also this version:

7/2 and 7/3 are related to the Schläfli symbol and the Coxeter diagram.... eventually I'm going to learn about those properly....

The following links show that it doesn't seem Sony is very good at shutting down copies:

If they can't even shut down those OBVIOUS copies... it seems I'm pretty safe....

On the other hand I couldn't find ANY Nintendo shirts....

So far this is the only other example I've found where they attempt to make words out of the 4 shapes....

Note the "JUST ONE MORE GAME" one has been copied many times so I guess they think that is clever...

Another attempt to make words with PlayStation symbols:

I think it was made by a fan and might be for the Playstation 3....
