When at work I can't listen to distracting stuff. I'm enjoying atmospheric things that just seep into your existence.

I listened to this soundtrack today. I feel this effect that it can alter the experience of reading a dull programming tutorial. "implementing a testing framework" becomes uncharacteristically dramatic. Also, coincidentally, I was flipping through the instagram stories while listening to this and for some reason @kari had posted clips of a very odd looking film. Strange effect.

Also this soundtrack I came across a few days ago. Really good. I like these kind of drifting tones it has throughout. At one point I'm fairly certain he's sampled the "alert" buzzer/thing sound from star wars iv, where the allies' ship or whatever is being boarded. Very evocative.

    (playlist)

After work I rode up a hill, and this was an ideal album. That guitar sound at the end. Dayumn. I read once that he recorded this album by playing through several amps at once (like, splitting the signal) and having the sounds merge together.

They really nailed the anthemic qualities on the synth in this track. It's classic and being featured in the Trainspotting music/soundtrack launched it further.

    Yacht still pleases me.

Too bad, Lady Une. You were far too lenient.
As a soldier, yes. But as a civilian I lived an austere life.
