Apparently Oregon are/have passing a law to mandate home visits for all newborns.. ?

    We already do that here.

Not once has the word "mandatory" been used in relation to my midwife/health visitor appointments, but I got the impression that they are mandatory, like don't comply and our suspicions will most certainly be raised.

Don't see the big deal with that, surely the well-being of the newborn is more important that privacy/freedom concerns.

I'm looking after my baby, and I'm happy for the experts to come tell me if I'm not.

Social workers on the other hand are quite disreputable.

Our vaccines aren't mandatory though, that's just orwellian.

Those who begin coercive elimination of dissent soon find themselves exterminating dissenters. Compulsory unification of opinion achieves only the unanimity of the graveyard.

    ****
    A short video

I have low MAOA in my genetics (MAOA is considered the "Warrior Gene")

Previously I heard of MAOA because I was using HBWr seeds to obtain LSA effects, and one of the things that inhibits MAOA are things like Goji berry; so I would chew Goji berry to further inhibit MAOA, however I'm naturally inclined to have such effects (and I do occassionally experience euphoria which might be caused by more of the chemicals that influence things (apparently I have some other genetic predisposition to Bipolar which I believe is caused by mania in conjunction with similar effects of lowered MAOA enzyme reduction.)

    To get a better idea:
rs6323 (R297R / Arg297Arg) is a SNP in the MAOA (monoamine oxidase A) gene. Monoamine oxidase A degrades serotonin, dopamine, epineprine, and norepinephrine. The G allele encodes for the higher activity form of the enzyme. Subjects with major depressive disorder with the highest activity form of the enzyme (G or G/G) had a significantly lower magnitude of placebo response.
On another note (I should mention that my Uncle is prone to smoke cigarettes, which often is correlated to soothing people predisposed to lower serotonin levels, as smoking is said to increase the release of it. I did smoke cigars when stressed at times):
You might have two short form 5-HTTLPR. You might have two short-form 5-HTTLPR (serotonin-transporter-linked polymorphic region). Variations in the region have been extensively investigated in connection with neuropsychiatric disorders. Identification of tag haplotypes for 5HTTLPR for different genome-wide SNP platforms
I also apparently had some slightly delayed speech (autism genes) though I attributed it to ear infections:
rs2710102, a common SNP in the CNTNAP2 gene, was found to be significantly associated (p<0.028) with a delayed onset of speech, as measured by the age at which a child speaks their first words, in children with autism. This effect is primarily seen in males, perhaps correlated with the 4-5x overrepresentation of males with autism compared with females. The confirmatory Stage 2 study was performed on 304 independent parent-child trios. However, the risk allele and the degree to which speech is delayed per genotype is unclear as published and awaits clarification by the authors. Speech development rs4431523, rs17236239 and significant associations (with P values from 0.01 to 5.0x10–5) between nonsense-word repetition and nine intronic SNPs ( rs851715, rs10246256, rs2710102, rs759178, rs1922892...
The bipolar connection is non expressed, as I lack the carrier gene that goes along with it, but if I did have that it would be rather pronounced with a magnitude of 3 (4 is highest)
Combined with rs225014, risk of osteoarthritis and bipolar disorder See text at rs12885300. Note: Confirm whether risk allele is C for this SNP.
I also have a gene connected to cannabis dependency (though I turned down my brothers when I had the option to smoke it, and have yet to do so. I suppose if I was more "neurotypical" other opportunity would have occurred, and maybe under the right circumstance where I didn't fear the consequences/risks of being spotted, I would have tried it.)

Occassionally I will take Kana extract to try to get out of depressive states of mind, and I felt compelled to go out and do things (though usually after awhile I will seem moody and stand-offish.)
