Anyone up for a cheap, domestic science experiment?

Pretty simple suggestion: have a few store-bought kidney beans grow inside a non-colored transparent (plastic / glass) container, furnished only with moist cotton at its base; monitor its germination and growth (better done with few seedlings...4 is a good number). Then, observe and register morphological parameters daily for about 14 days. If the container is small, you might have to get the little ones into a larger container.

I'd be quite interested in comparing results.

I especially encourage the curious people out there who have never done this kind of casual experiments :-)
