    Political Music

Some of my favorite music has political messages throughout. I think part of this has to do with the idea of political messages being necessarily meaningful, even if I'm not the intended audience. There's just something to be said for songs that can get you excited about the human condition in a political sense. So my idea here is to share those songs, talk about them, and remind each other that our political beliefs are bitchmade and do nothing to support the will of the proletariat.

This is easily one of my favorite songs. Not only is it the song that convinced me that not all hiphop was bullshit it also seems to anticipate the future in some ways. I distinctly remember getting a copy of Soundbombing II in the mail and it being a very meaningful day when i was in my last few months of middle school. It was released in the spring of '99.

Any song is political if you put it to Vietnam footage.
