Well... They said my brother is "quite mentally ill" , an I'm inclined to agree with them. He's going to be moved to a permanent psychiatry hospital.

My mom's acting concerned and making phone calls .. but she's so fucking phoney. If she weren't such a self centered bitch she could have helped in preventing this, rather than causing it.

"Me, me, me" that's her fucking world. If he doesn't recover from this, I place the blame solely at her feet for the years of abuse, neglect.. and continued neglect. Suddenly remembered the rage she fills me with

My cousin is over from the states for missionary work (going to uni campuses and asking students if they've heard of Jesus)

She invited me and my family over for dinner. It was at a mansion. The dinner turned out to be a church thing and ~30 people attended.

A lot of the young people there also came from the states. They were all really super nice, and empty behind the eyes -- like most devoutly religious people I meet. I liked them a lot. Whenever Aussies meet Americans all we talk about is how much they don't understand vegemite and how scared they are of all the venomous things in Australia. They asked me what the stereotype of Americans were here and my first reply was that we think they're fat and lazy and they seemed maybe a hint offended.

When the dinner ended we just sat at the dinnertable and continued banter. The seat next to me became free and I noticed one of the American dudes sat next to me and tried to start a one-on-one conversation with me. He asked me about my religious/spiritual beliefs. I thought that was really forward of him esp. in front of everyone. I said the usual stuff about how I grew up catholic, became a militant atheist, now I believe in some mangled version of pantheism. I lowered my voice slightly as a I said this because I didn't intend on announcing to the gaggle of god-fearers before me that I was a hardcore satanist.

He started telling me about his journey with God, and how he helped him overcome his struggles and addiction. I asked what addiction he had. He said something about it's quite a social addiction(?) but he used to watch a lot of pornography. I was taken aback because he was so open and I've only known him for like 2 hours, barely, but of course I had a poker face and I was a lil flattered that he felt he could be so open with me already, esp. since his lil sister was sitting opposite us, and the rest of the dinnertable could've heard us. He talked about how God helped him overcome struggles that he couldn't overcome himself.

I told him that was fascinating, how I think a lot of people need religion, and in my mind I thought about Nietzsche talking about slave morality and the weak needing external guidance. I told him that I don't think his beliefs were incongruent to mine.

They've diagnosed my brother with Psychosis, which was also what I'd informally diagnosed him with.

Psychosis is an abnormal condition of the mind that results in difficulties determining what is real and what is not.[4] Symptoms may include false beliefs (delusions) and seeing or hearing things that others do not see or hear (hallucinations).[4] Other symptoms may include incoherent speech and behavior that is inappropriate for the situation.[4] There may also be sleep problems, social withdrawal, lack of motivation, and difficulties carrying out daily activities.[4]
He was pretty catatonic and incoherent.

He asked for some of his books to be brought up to him, and my mom actually made the smart decision of not taking up his mindful thinking and conspiracy orientaed books.

Miracles do happen, apparently. The woman isn't completely stupid.

I've been over that bridge that collapsed in Genoa. They have a lot of bridges in that part of Italy.

I'll add it to the places I've been that have since fallen down...

The utter shame you feel when you bump into people who's names you should know, but you can't for the life of you recall on the spot

And then when the kids in your presence quiz you about it and completely shoe you up for the ignorant shit stain of a human being that you are

Sometimes I wish the ground would swallow me up.

Hmm creepy, this was the last thing posted by the wife of a man who killed her and his two daughters 4 days later. Apparently the daughters did this.
