    Small Writings

    Hiatus from Thought

It could have been burnout. Ennui. Satis. Enough.

This is good, clean, workout sweat. This is doing without overthinking. This is rediscovering the experience of the glory of God.

Background information, the impression of memory, a symphony of resonant associations. Ambient noise.

Operating in a rhythm of compressions of time. Long extensions. Compression. Extension.

Try to accomplish one or two tasks within each compression each day.

One for the self, one for the partner, one for the babe.

    Physical exertion.

    Moving without thinking.

    Feeling without thinking.

Meditative analysis. These are my thoughts.

    Let them go.

    Thinking without searching.

    Letting go.

    It is enough.

    Satis.

    Enough.

i like this. I can also relate to a few of your expressions:

im not sure how literal you are with these two lines, but i call them moments. any moment can be any length of time, when i enter a new moment, the last one is over. i have learnt how to persist through the moment also, and remain afterwards
Just look at the blue sky

That seems so metaphysical. "Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I shall remain."

    Traveling by Train

That seven and a half minute writing exercise reminded me of something else I'd written a while ago.

    Past and present. Circular sentiments.

    Traveling by Train

    I miss the city.

I miss going out to bars imbibing solitude and futility. Meeting men and women and then forgetting them.

I miss all the uninteresting, desperate and pretending, shallow surfaces of people.

    I miss England.

When I'd been even younger, more isolated and ignorant.

I miss feeling that I had no purpose and no hope and no responsibility.

I miss traveling alone and anonymous by train.

I miss traveling by train without any destination.

I miss the unfamiliar, touristless places.

I miss drinking (alone) and writing (alone) and
    traveling by train.

    Going anywhere by train.

I miss hot tea and whisky and
    the cold rains.

    I miss
    being young and uncertain and
    wandering.
